Right to Choose referral volume has grown far faster than diagnostic capacity, and the provider is scaling assessors without cutting assessment time.

A predictable assessment diary, report turnaround inside the service standard, and no pressure to compress a diagnostic assessment to hit a number.

What you'll own

  • Complete adult autism diagnostic assessments using recognised tools
  • Write clear diagnostic reports for patient and GP
  • Take part in multidisciplinary formulation meetings
  • Support quality assurance and peer review of reports

What we need to see

  • Registered clinical psychologist, psychiatrist, SLT or specialist nurse
  • Trained in ADOS-2, DISCO, ADI-R or equivalent
  • Experience of adult autism diagnostic work
  • Comfortable working remotely with strong written reporting

What do autism assessors get paid?
Sessional adult autism assessors typically earn 300 to 500 GBP per day, or a fixed fee per completed assessment and report. This role pays 350 to 450 GBP per day.
