Clinical Safety Officer

Own DCB0129 clinical risk management for a health tech product shipping into the NHS.

The safety case is yours to own, not to rubber stamp.

Why this role exists

Procurement conversations keep stalling on the clinical safety case, and the product team needs a named clinician who can sign it rather than a consultant on retainer.

What the first twelve months look like

A live hazard log the engineers actually use, DCB0129 compliance evidenced for every release, and safety no longer the reason a deal slips.

What you'll own

  • Act as named Clinical Safety Officer under DCB0129
  • Maintain the hazard log and clinical safety case across releases
  • Review product changes for clinical risk before deployment
  • Support NHS procurement and DTAC responses

What we need to see

  • Registered clinician with a current licence or registration
  • DCB0129 and DCB0160 experience
  • Understanding of medical device classification and UKCA
  • Comfortable challenging a product roadmap on safety grounds
