Consultant Psychiatrist: NHS Right to Choose ADHD Assessments

Scale Health is recruiting a Consultant Psychiatrist to deliver remote adult ADHD evaluations for a regulated independent healthcare provider. Operating within a structured NHS Right to Choose pathway, you will lead clinical assessments supported by dedicated administrative teams. The provider intentionally caps associate pool size to guarantee consistent sessional volume without internal competition for referrals.

Deliver structured NHS Right to Choose ADHD assessments remotely with guaranteed sessional demand and minimum earnings of £2,500 weekly for two days.

Why this role exists

Sustained growth in NHS Right to Choose referral volume requires additional consultant capacity to conduct diagnostic assessments and maintain report turnaround times. The provider limits associate headcount so every active consultant receives a predictable, full sessional schedule, maintaining high diagnostic standards and robust clinical governance.

What the first twelve months look like

Within three months, establish a regular sessional pattern delivering five remote ADHD assessments per clinical day with complete reports submitted within agreed service level agreements. By six months, achieve consistent diagnostic quality and efficiency metrics monitored under the Medical Director. By twelve months, maintain an established caseload and optionally expand scope to include adult Autism Spectrum Disorder assessments.

What you'll own

  • Conduct structured adult ADHD diagnostic assessments via secure remote video consultations.
  • Formulate clinical diagnoses and personalized treatment recommendations in line with NICE guidelines.
  • Complete clear, structured clinical reports using standard templates, supported by dedicated pathway managers.
  • Provide consultant sign off for neurodevelopmental evaluations as a registered specialist.
  • Maintain high clinical governance standards under the oversight of the Medical Director.

What we need to see

  • Full GMC registration with entry on the Specialist Register in Psychiatry.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting adult ADHD assessments within NHS or independent healthcare settings.
  • Ability to commit to two to five clinical days per week on a fully remote basis.
  • Proficiency with digital healthcare tools and structured clinical reporting frameworks.
