Remote GP

Deliver remote GP consultations for a private digital practice with capped list sizes and real admin support.

Capped lists, protected admin time, sessions that fit around your NHS week.

Why this role exists

The service has grown its patient base faster than its clinician bench and is protecting consultation quality rather than stretching the doctors it already has.

What the first twelve months look like

A steady clinical session pattern that suits your week, consistently high patient satisfaction, and zero backlog of unsigned notes because the admin load sits with the operations team, not with you.

What you'll own

  • Run scheduled remote consultations by video and telephone
  • Prescribe safely within the practice formulary and escalation policy
  • Refer and signpost into NHS and private pathways where appropriate
  • Contribute to clinical audit and peer review sessions

What we need to see

  • GMC registration with a licence to practise, on the GP Register
  • On the NHS England Performers List or eligible to join
  • Experience of remote or digital first consulting
  • Own indemnity or willingness to be covered under the practice policy

About the organisation

Questions candidates ask

How much do remote GP jobs pay in the UK?
Sessional remote GP work in private digital practice typically pays 90 to 120 GBP per hour in 2026. This role pays 95 to 115 GBP per hour depending on experience and session pattern.
Can I do remote GP work alongside an NHS post?
Yes. Most clinicians on this pathway hold NHS sessions and add remote private sessions around them. The minimum commitment here is four hours per week.
Do I need to be on the Performers List for remote GP work?
For NHS funded work, yes. For private remote consulting, providers usually still require it as a quality standard, and this provider does.
