Senior Product Designer

Scale Health is recruiting a Senior Product Designer for an AI cancer care platform operating in the UK. This remote role owns craft across both NHS B2B systems and direct-to-patient surfaces. You will translate complex clinical risk workflows into safe, human-centred digital tools.

Lead end-to-end design for an AI-powered cancer platform, transforming complex clinical logic into intuitive interfaces for NHS clinicians and patients.

Why this role exists

Earlier cancer detection requires bridging clinical precision with clear software design. As the platform expands its NHS adoption and direct-to-patient products, this role ensures the user experience remains safe and cohesive. A dedicated craft lead is needed to convert complex diagnostic logic into seamless digital journeys.

What the first twelve months look like

Within 12 months, you will ship redesigned clinical workflows across NHS platforms to improve triage speed. You will establish an updated Figma design system for web and mobile interfaces. You will also launch refined direct-to-patient assessment tools that maintain high clinical safety.

What you'll own

  • Own end-to-end product design across NHS-facing B2B and consumer surfaces from concept to production UI.
  • Translate complex clinical risk algorithms and information-dense workflows into intuitive, safe interfaces.
  • Lead qualitative user research and usability testing with NHS clinicians and patients.
  • Evolve and maintain the cross-platform Figma design system across web and mobile applications.
  • Partner with product managers, engineers, and clinical advisors to ship compliant healthcare products.

What we need to see

  • At least 5 years of product design experience in early-stage startups or 0-to-1 product environments.
  • Proven experience designing for healthtech, diagnostics, or regulated clinical contexts.
  • High proficiency in Figma, covering rapid prototyping to component-level design systems.
  • Demonstrated experience designing dual B2B and consumer applications across web and mobile.
  • Active use of AI tools within your design workflow to accelerate iteration.

About the organisation

This venture-backed healthtech business uses artificial intelligence to accelerate early cancer diagnosis. They build software used by NHS clinicians and patients to reduce diagnostic delays. The team places clinical rigor at the centre of product development rather than treating compliance as a bottleneck.
