Director of NHS Partnerships

This role combines clinical capacity, proprietary software and pathway transformation across England and Wales.

Convert a warm acute Trust pipeline into sustainable virtual elective care partnerships with £180k OTE potential.

Why this role exists

NHS acute Trusts face severe outpatient backlogs and need sustainable elective capacity beyond traditional insourcing. The provider has built a proven model combining consultant networks with digital technology. This new commercial leadership role will convert warm demand into long-term enterprise partnerships and build a structured sales playbook.

What the first twelve months look like

Within three months, map the existing pipeline and close initial acute Trust contracts across key target regions. By six months, establish a repeatable NHS commercial framework and secure broad C-suite engagement across multiple Trusts. Within twelve months, achieve national new-business targets and evaluate building a dedicated commercial team.

What you'll own

  • Deliver the national NHS acute Trust revenue target through complex enterprise sales.
  • Convert existing pipeline opportunities into signed, multi-year virtual elective care contracts.
  • Build direct executive relationships with NHS Trust C-suite leaders and clinical directors.
  • Develop data-led business cases that articulate pathway efficiencies and financial returns for Trusts.
  • Partner with internal clinical, operational and executive teams to mobilise secured contracts effectively.
  • Establish a standardized NHS sales framework to prepare the business for further commercial scaling.

What we need to see

  • Proven track record selling complex solutions directly to NHS acute Trusts.
  • Demonstrated success engaging NHS CEOs, COOs, CFOs and Medical Directors.
  • Experience selling transformational clinical, digital or pathway services rather than pure staffing.
  • Strong capability in structuring data-led financial business cases for NHS commissioners.
  • Willingness to travel regularly across NHS Trusts in England and Wales.
