Head of Clinical AI
Own the clinical safety case for AI features inside a regulated care pathway.
Why this role exists
The engineering team can ship models faster than the organisation can defend them. This role exists to close that gap before a regulator does it for them.
What the first twelve months look like
A documented safety case per deployed model, a clinical evaluation process engineering actually uses, and AI features live in a regulated pathway without a governance exception.
What you'll own
- Own clinical risk management for AI-enabled features under DCB0129
- Define evaluation standards before deployment, not after
- Bridge clinical, engineering and governance teams
- Represent the AI safety position to partners and regulators
What we need to see
- Clinical background alongside genuine ML literacy
- Familiarity with clinical safety standards and medical device classification
- Experience shipping models into regulated environments
